Your first session is 90 minutes and begins with a full consultation. We'll talk through your history, your pain, your lifestyle, and what you'd like to achieve. From there I'll carry out an assessment and we'll agree a personalised treatment plan together. The hands-on treatment follows, with a reassessment at the end and tailored aftercare — stretches, exercises, or mindfulness practices to support your healing between sessions.

Everyone responds differently — some people notice real change after just one or two sessions, for others it's a more gradual process. Early sessions are usually weekly, becoming less frequent as things improve. We'll always discuss what feels right for you, taking into account both your progress and your budget, and adjust the plan as we go.

For the massage treatment itself you'll be in your underwear, covered with a sheet throughout — only the area being worked on will be uncovered at any time. For Movement & Yoga sessions wear comfortable, loose clothing that's easy to move in.

Clinical massage can sometimes feel uncomfortable in areas of tension — but it should never feel unbearable. I always work within your comfort level and encourage you to communicate throughout the session. Some clients experience mild soreness for a day or two after treatment, particularly in the early sessions — this is completely normal and a sign that your body is responding.

Clinical Massage is hands-on bodywork using the Jing Method — targeted treatment for chronic pain, injury, and stress-related conditions. Movement & Yoga is the natural extension of that work — helping you understand how you move and building a sustainable practice to support your body in everyday life. Many clients combine both as part of their treatment plan.
